It’s summer and if you have a bike, come find out how easy and safe it is to ride to Tango Berretin. This ride is a leisurely cruise through southeast Portland along some great bike routes featuring big trees, handsome houses and very little traffic.
The ride meets at Staccato Gelato (NE 28th and Davis) at 9pm Saturday July 5th.
Get some gelato, hang out. The ride leaves for Berretin at 9:30pm.
This gives you a 30 minute window in which to arrive for the ride.
We should arrive at Berretin around 10pm.
There’s a map with the route: www.exitshoes.com/bike
A white light is required on the front of your bike to ride at night.
Make sure you have your lights ready and working before Saturday night!
When I go to Berretin, I always ride my bike anyway, and I keep an open invitation for anyone who wants to join me on this great ride. This time I’m not going alone. No pressure, really
No shows at Staccato Gelato and I’m just going to sit there and eat gelato all night. I can take it.
You have questions? Contact me!
Would you like to see this happen every 1st and 3rd Saturday?

We had 7 bike riders turn out at Staccato Gelato Saturday night, plus an honorary motorcycle rider. It was a wonderful surprise to see some folks who I’ve never seen on a bike before show up for this ride!
The weather was cool and pleasant - perfect. We coasted through the southeast with hardly a car to share the road. We did pickup a couple of Rasta riders along Clinton Street, but they were nervous to dance without taking the lesson first, so they turned off.
There were several possible beer stops along the way at which the group showed restraint. (all the way to Berretin even). All but one of us stayed until the end of the milonga, but we picked up Bill for the ride home. The ride home is always my favorite part. It sure made my night!
Thanks everyone for riding along. Maybe you’d like to join next time?
