Maybe you need a jump on your new year’s resolutions? Since we did ok on the political front last time, I’m swapping out the political section of this message for an economic statement. Here’s some personal finance advice from Wall Street Journal, no less, which will show you where to find extra money to pay for your tango habit.
There are only two Northstar rides in left in December.
Are you having a hard time imagining how to make the U.S. a leader on climate change of the positive kind? It starts with ice cream and ends at a milonga. Does it get any better?

Where: Staccato Gelato (NE 28th & Everett)
Whereto: Northstar Ballroom (635 N Killingsworth Ct)

This is a leisurely bike ride through the stately Irvington neighborhood up to northeast Portland. Ride time is about 30 minutes. If you arrive by bike, you pay only $5. Please thank Jerry for generously offering the green dividend!
You can count on lots of holiday lights along the route, but if you can’t wait until Thursday, there’s a holiday bike art gift show called bikecraft Wednesday December 11 from 5:30pm til close at Roots Brew Pub.
By the way, for those of you who are looking for a poncho for riding in the rain, I saw some for sale at the Monkey King (3534 SE Hawthorne Blvd). I haven’t used the kind they carry, but they’re worth checking out.
